The cause of death of millions of people around the world has been announced
An international team of scientists has estimated that 30.8 million people died in China alone between 2000 and 2016 due to air pollution.
According to Qadin.Net, this was reported by the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences.
Researchers have studied NASA satellite images to determine the level of air pollution in different parts of China. The experts also analyzed the data of ground station waste, location maps of factories and highways.
Estimates show that between 2000 and 2016, between 1.5 and 2.2 million people die each year in China due to air pollution.
It is estimated that air pollution kills 8.8 million people worldwide every year.
