State registration of births and deaths in Azerbaijan will be carried out electronically - DECREE

 President Ilham Aliyev has signed a decree on expanding the use of electronic services in the field of state registration of civil status acts.

The decree was issued in order to expand the use of modern information and communication technologies in the field of state registration of civil status acts, as well as to improve the activities in the field of birth and death registration, to ensure efficiency and accessibility.
According to the decree, the state registration of births and deaths in Azerbaijan will be carried out electronically, documents confirming the fact of birth and death will be compiled in electronic form, certificates and references on registration of births and deaths will be issued electronically.
Information on documents related to the registration of births and deaths, as well as information on the burial of citizens will be included in the State Register of Population Information System and the Unified State Register of Funerals, as well as other relevant state information resources through the Electronic Government Information System (hereinafter - EHIS) and will be transmitted to their systems.

In addition, births and deaths will be analyzed, data will be automatically summarized and statistical reports will be prepared.

To the Cabinet of Ministers, the Ministry of Justice, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to consular offices abroad, the Ministry of Health, the State Agency for Compulsory Medical Insurance, local executive authorities to the representations of the heads of local executive authorities, the Service and Social Service under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan The State Agency for Innovations has been instructed to implement the relevant decree.
