A woman detained on charges of sending a poisoned letter on the Canadian-US border has called on US President Donald Trump to withdraw her candidacy in the November 3 election.
The Associated Press reported, citing materials from the federal district court in the western district of New York.
According to court documents, 53-year-old Canadian Pascal Ferrer appealed to the US leader to "surrender and withdraw from the presidential election." In this case, he noted, the letter is a "special gift." "If that doesn't happen, the woman will choose a more effective prescription for the poison and use a weapon whenever she can."
Six other similar letters from Canada were seized in Texas in September, the agency said, citing the FBI. Ferrer's fingerprints were found in those letters. However, the letters do not say whether there are any toxic substances.
The woman will be brought to justice soon.
Earlier, it was reported that US border guards had arrested a man who had sent a poisonous package to the President of the United States.
