Speaking to Telegraf.com, Jalal Isayev, the country's chief infectious disease specialist, said that online teaching in primary schools was undesirable and traditional teaching should be continued:
"Therefore, it is necessary to develop mechanisms so that children are less likely to be infected. In particular, parents have a big role in this. Primary school still needs to be taught, not high school students to be taught online. In addition to monitoring the observance of hygiene rules and recommendations, other mechanisms should be developed.
The chief infectious disease specialist, who does not consider the low risk of infection in young children to be the right approach, said that the disease often does not manifest itself in children and young people: “The disease is subclinical, so we do not know if they are sick. From this point of view, those patients are more dangerous. Because they have no symptoms, the virus is secreted and poses a threat to others. In this regard, school-age children are more likely to be infected and to become infected as a source of infection.
If they can, it would be great for students to wear masks. But most children can't wear masks. They can play with the mask and not wear it properly, which is a greater source of danger. Therefore, it is necessary to develop a special rule. According to the current situation, the area of the classroom should be large. It is not allowed to accommodate 15 students in small rooms. In large rooms, the distance should be expected.
It is best not to let students take a break. Breathing should be done in a classroom setting. Have children do fun sports. When they are allowed to rest, children gather in the corridor and there is a crowd.
