Will the autumn season make the situation worse - the flu or COVID-19?
We will face even greater challenges. As respiratory infections occur in the fall, coronavirus control will become more difficult. Doctors, teachers and parents will be in a desperate situation.
The statement came from pediatrician Vagif Garayev, Qadin.Net reports. According to him, if this happens, schools are expected to close again:
"Today is a desperate situation for doctors, teachers and parents. When the quarantine was tightened, the population stood up and our freedom was taken away from us. Even when it is mitigated, the infection increases, and the population still stands up because they cannot regulate the rules, and so on. So how do we do better? As a pediatrician, I must say that the autumn season is coming. Thousands of students will study in each school. Do you know what this means? The name means burning the school with a virus spark. As a doctor, I am against full-time education in the classroom, but stopping education is not the way out. In any case, if the infections continue, I think they can close schools again. "
The doctor said that the infections occurred both in summer and in autumn:
"The second disaster will begin in October. Seasonal viruses occur. Everyone should understand that not only our country, but the whole world is struggling with the pandemic. Let's be honest, our doctors, like specialists in foreign countries, do their best. The infection is not known to medicine, this is the problem. Doctors have been thinking about this since March.
Any patient who presents with a fever in the fall will first need to have a COVID-19 test. Although the doctor knows that this is a seasonal virus, he will have to be tested for the coronavirus because he has a fever. Neither the doctor, nor the parents, nor the clinics will be able to do that. If those feverish students (grades I-IV) go to school, no one will know whether they are carriers of COVID-19 or a seasonal disease.
The doctor said that it is difficult to give a definite opinion on recurrent infections, adding that there is no exact information about it:
"Immunity is formed in a person infected with the virus. However, there are different opinions about how long this immunity lasts. In general, it is not possible to say whether a person infected with the coronavirus is infected with the virus again.
