According to the Ministry of Education last night, 121 people, including 95 students and 26 staff, have been diagnosed with coronavirus since the beginning of the school year.
This has caused discussions on social networks. The reopening of schools is on the agenda.
Jasarat Valehov, head of the public relations department of the Ministry of Education, told Oxu.Az that it was incorrect to present the information released by the ministry yesterday as a preparatory measure for the closure of schools:
"It's a weekly report, and we've made it public," he said. This does not mean the re-closure of schools, the restriction of full-time education.
He said the students, who were diagnosed with the coronavirus, became infected at home.
