The ministry clarified the Arsak scandal

Provocative information about the inclusion of the toponym "Arsak" in the 7th grade textbook "History of Azerbaijan" was spread on social networks by many non-professionals and people who have nothing to do with history. In fact, the historical truth is distorted and unfounded and unsubstantiated allegations are made that Arsak, one of the 12 provinces of ancient Albania, which is an integral part of the history of Azerbaijan, allegedly belonged to the Armenians. However, as many historians (M. Kalankatuklu, AABakikhanov, Z. Bunyadov, F. Mammadova, G. Geybullayev, etc.) have proved, Arsak is a place and a name that belongs entirely to ancient Azerbaijan, and many history of Azerbaijan by the occupying neighbors. Like place names, the attempt to appropriate this name is just an example of historical falsification.

The Ministry of Education told Telegraf.com that many social network writers mixed the 7th grade textbook "History of Azerbaijan" published by a private publishing house with a historical information booklet published by a private publishing house and completely ignored the issue. misinformed users. In fact, the historical information contained in the 7th grade textbook "History of Azerbaijan" was confirmed by historians with reference to authentic historical sources. The book, presented as another "textbook", is not just a textbook, but a questionnaire published by a private publisher for university students and has nothing to do with the Ministry of Education.

It should be noted that back in 2015, the Ministry of Education officially stated its position in this regard. Nevertheless, the issue came up again and caused confusion among the people.

Once again, citing accurate sources of historians, we can say that history is the legacy of yesterday, but also the legacy of today, the mirror of tomorrow. We all fulfill our mission by quoting historical facts from accurate sources.
