Hackers stole the passport information of 11,000 Swiss citizens and spread it on the Internet.
The incident took place in South America, Qadin.Net reports citing publika.az. The gang has released passport information about tens of thousands of people online after the Argentine government rejected a $ 4 million request from a group of hackers who seized the immigration database. The hacked data includes the passport data of 11,000 Swiss citizens visiting Argentina in January-March this year, as well as travel information.
The Swiss Department of Foreign Affairs has been informed about this and is currently working with local agencies in Argentina. It was stated that the seized passport information could lead to the theft of identities of individuals and the use of this information in various criminal acts.
Among those whose personal information was stolen were citizens of Germany, France and Israel.
