From today, the decision of the Cabinet of Ministers No. 305 to reduce the customs limit to $ 300 will come into force.
It should be noted that according to the new rules, the maximum amount of goods that can be imported duty-free by individuals has been reduced. So far, a citizen could bring $ 1,500 worth of goods directly for personal use during the month, and $ 1,000 via e-commerce - by mail. According to the new change, these figures have been reduced to $ 800 and $ 300, respectively. That is, if a citizen buys goods worth more than $ 300 from a foreign store on the Internet, he must pay 36 percent customs duty for that excess amount.
According to the official statement, a citizen, with the consent of the carrier, can declare the ordered product several times a month by storing it in a warehouse belonging to the customs or carrier, or by submitting a simplified declaration to the customs authority.
