Austrian immunologist and geneticist Josef Penninger has announced that he has developed the world's most rational drug against the coronavirus, which not only kills the virus, but also reduces the risk of long-term complications.

He noted that according to research on the coronavirus in 2002-2005, he has been preparing the drug for 15 years.
"We are currently conducting the second phase of clinical trials," he said.
He added that if the research is successful, the drug will be registered in the winter of 2020.
