Well-known neurosurgeon: "Schumacher's operation was delayed"
Professor Erich Riderer, a well-known neurosurgeon from Zurich, Switzerland, gave a pessimistic forecast about the condition of former Formula 1 driver Michael Schumacher.
According to RMC Sport, the neurosurgeon voiced his opinion in a new documentary about the incident with the seven-time world champion.
The documentary is called "Michael Schumacher: The Search for Truth."
"I think Michael is vegetative, that is, he is awake, but he does not respond. He can breathe, his heart beats, he can probably sit down and take small steps with the help of another person, but there is no hope for more. Do we have a chance to see him as he was before the accident? I don't think so, "said the neurosurgeon.

Riderer admitted that Schumacher's operation was delayed after the accident.

The neurosurgeon believes that the popularity of the German pilot prevented doctors from deciding on the operation, and Schumacher was operated on only two hours later.

Michael Schumacher suffered a severe head injury on a ski slope in France in December 2013 and was paralyzed.
