One of the first people to be infected with the coronavirus in Turkey, 73-year-old Oguz Peker, was released from intensive care four months later. Peker, who was released after 5.5 months of treatment, was surprised by his first words when he regained consciousness.
According to Qadin.Net, citing publika.az, he asked the medical staff around him, "I had a car accident, why everyone is wearing a mask."
After his family and doctors explained to him the coronavirus pandemic and the changes that had taken place during that time, Packer said he had difficulty understanding it. The 73-year-old patient, who was in intensive care for 125 days, said he was pleased to return to life thanks to the efforts of neurologists, nephrologists, infectious diseases and intensive care specialists.

It should be noted that the spread of the coronavirus pandemic in Turkey for the first time was officially announced on March 11. One day later, Oguz Peker fell ill and was hospitalized with symptoms of fever, weakness and respiratory failure.
