Scientists at the Costa Rican Institute of Science and Technology are working on a drug based on equine antibodies against the coronavirus.
According to Qadin.Net, this was reported by Scientific American.
Six fathers were reportedly injected with a laboratory-derived SARS-CoV-2 protein. After four injections every two weeks, the horses developed the right level of antibodies.
The researchers then collected horse blood in a drug factory, separated the plasma from the red blood cells, and isolated the antibodies from the plasma. After that, they developed a composition suitable for testing in humans.
A bottle of the drug will cost about $ 100 (170 AZN).
