For those who want to go to Russia: The rules have changed

The Russian government has simplified the entry procedure for foreigners.
The statement came from Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin at a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers, RIA Novosti reported.
It is said that foreigners with close kinship with a Russian citizen (spouses, parents, children, brothers, sisters, grandparents and grandchildren) will be able to apply for entry in a simplified manner.
"These relatives will be able to get a long-term visa, which is valid for up to a year, and this can be done on the basis of a simple written application from our citizen," he said.
In addition, the rule that foreigners are forced to leave the country every three months to retain the right to obtain a visa will be removed from the legislation.
