SHOCK CLAIM about patients recovering from coronavirus - within 48 days ...
Speaking at a meeting of the Presidium of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Anna Popova, head of Russia's Federal Service for Consumer Protection and Human Welfare (Rospotrebnadzor), said that Russian experts had confirmed that a person infected with a new type of coronavirus continues to transmit the virus for up to 48 days.
According to foreign experts, the virus can last up to 90 days. On the surface, it is known that the released virus can "live" for up to 48 hours.
But why does this happen, and should people who recover from coronavirus fear the risk of contracting the disease?
Russian doctor of medical sciences, scientist, well-known virologist Alexander Lukashev answered these questions.

"In most cases, when the virus is detected, it means that the virus is nucleic acid. This does not mean that the virus is alive. For example, the nucleic acid of the virus can be found in dust, air, and tap water. So far, let's say you can find mammoth nucleic acid in permanent glaciers, which does not mean that mammoths will come out of there now, ”the expert said.

Mr Lukashev said that although the virus was alive, it took 100 or more, sometimes up to 10,000, viruses to infect a person, not 1 or 10.

"Therefore, even if a live virus stays in one place, it is necessary to look at its quantity. In many cases, persistence of the virus can only pose a theoretical threat. That is, a person can transmit the virus, and even this virus can be alive, but such a person does not represent an epidemiological threat.

He added that a person who underwent two PCR tests and tested negative was considered to have recovered from the coronavirus and was discharged from the hospital. From an epidemiological point of view, the asymptomatic spread of the virus is a big problem, but it shows that a significant part of the population already has antibodies to the coronavirus. This means that COVID-19 can enter the market without any symptoms.
