A drug that completely neutralizes the coronavirus has been found
Scientists at the University of Pittsburgh in the United States have found the smallest biological molecule that completely neutralizes the SARS-CoV-2 virus.
According to Gadin.Net, this was reported by Cell magazine.
This molecule is a protein compound 10 times smaller than the full-scale antibody used to make the drug Ab8 against COVID-19.
The results of the study show that Ab8 is effective in the prevention and treatment of SaRS-CoV-2 in mice. The small size of the molecule increases its ability to diffuse into tissues, which allows it to better neutralize the virus and at the same time inhale the drug. The drug does not bind to human cells, which minimizes side effects.
