Money transfers from Azerbaijan to Georgia have sharply increased
In January-August this year, Azerbaijan sent $ 29.9 million to Georgia. Remittances in US dollars were made, which is 2.2 times more than a year ago.

It was noted that remittances from Azerbaijan to Georgia in the first eight months of last year amounted to 13.9 million. dollars.
During the reporting period, transfers from Georgia to Azerbaijan amounted to 10.1 million. This is 13.4% more than in the same period of 2019. Thus, in January-August last year, 8.9 mln. dollars were transferred.
In August of this year alone, 7 mln. remittances in the amount of $ This is 3.6 times more than in the same period last year and amounted to 3.78% of total remittances to Georgia during the reporting period.
Remittances from Georgia to Azerbaijan amounted to $ 1.4 million in August dollars. The total volume of remittances to Georgia in August this year amounted to 184.2 million. USD, which is 25.8% or 37.8 mln. dollars more.
