Some time ago, it was reported that old textbooks would be distributed to students after disinfection, but parents say they disinfected textbooks with medical alcohol at home.
According to Dr. Adil Geybulla, disinfectants have a chemical composition. These items can invalidate the font of the textbook. The textbooks are for reading. If the font is broken, the student will not be able to get the necessary knowledge from the textbook. In this regard, the disinfection of textbooks should be carried out with ultraviolet radiation, not with chemical solutions. The doctor also said that because the coronavirus could not live on objects for a long time, it is very unlikely that the virus will pass through textbooks.
According to the Ministry of Education, the textbooks were disinfected in the library before distribution.
