Scientists at the University of Pittsburgh in the United States have discovered a protein that can completely neutralize the coronavirus.
The results of the study were published in the journal Cell, Gadin.Net reports citing publika.az.
It is noted that this is a protein compound that is 10 times smaller than the antibody used to create the drug "Ab8" against COVID-19.
The researchers said that the smaller the protein, the higher its ability to spread to tissues, and that it was better at neutralizing the virus.
It is also stated that its molecules do not bind to human cells, which allows to minimize additional negative effects.
