Georgia remained in the green zone

"Despite the increase in the number of coronavirus infections in Georgia over the past week, the country remains in the 'green' zone."
The statement came from Amiran Gamkrelidze, head of the National Center for Disease Control. He said that Georgia is still one of the safest countries in the world, Gadin.Net reports quoting publika.az.

According to Gamkrelidze, in order to maintain the status of a safe region in Georgia, the population must follow the recommendations:

"Many of our citizens no longer follow the basic recommendations. I know that you are tired of masks and social distance, but there is no stronger weapon against the coronavirus. Despite the increase in the number of infections, Georgia remains in a green, safe zone. We must know that this security status must be maintained. For this, it is necessary to cooperate and follow all the recommendations, "Gamkrelidze said.

According to the chief epidemiologist, the number of tests has increased: "If 4,665 tests were performed in August, on September 4, this figure reached 8,259."
