It is forbidden to sell state-registered drugs at different prices - STATEMENT

 "The prices of state-registered medicines are regulated by the Tariff (Price) Council. Price regulation is carried out primarily on vital and more demanding drugs. So far, the Tariff (Price) Council has approved the prices of 12,114 medicines.

This was stated by the representative of the State Service for Antimonopoly and Consumer Market Control Gunel Bahramgizi.

According to him, the price of medicines is determined by their trade name, name and dose of the active substance, pharmaceutical form, quantity, as well as the company and country of manufacture.

In addition, the approved prices of medicines are indicated on them.

All economic entities engaged in wholesale and retail sale of medicines must comply with the following requirements:

"According to the legislation, the sale of state-registered drugs at a price different from the approved price is prohibited, and liability measures are envisaged for these cases. Consumers can get information on the approved prices of state-registered medicines from the official websites of the Tariff (Price) Council, the Ministry of Economy and the State Service for Antimonopoly and Consumer Market Control.

The State Service for Antimonopoly and Consumer Market Control informs consumers that when buying medicines, it is important to pay special attention to the compliance of prices with the established prices. Buyers can contact the Service hotline (498-15-01, 498-15-04) in case of incorrect application of prices.
