Brazilian surfer Maya Gabeira has set a new women's world record for taming the biggest wave.
According to TASS, this was reported by the Press Service of the World Surfing League.
The 33-year-old athlete tamed the wave at a height of 22.40 meters.
Note that the previous record (20.72 meters) also belonged to him.
Gabeyra is one of the most successful surfers in the world. He was twice nominated for the Laureus Award as the best athlete of the year.
