By 2023, the use of trans fats can be completely abandoned

The World Health Organization (WHO) plans to eliminate the use of trans fats in food by 2023.
According to Gadin.Net, TASS reports that this intention is confirmed by a statement issued by the Director-General of the World Health Organization (WHO) Tedros Adanom Gebreyesus.
The WHO report in Geneva estimates that about 500,000 people die each year from cardiovascular disease as a result of the use of industrially produced trans fats.
Therefore, the organization welcomes the readiness of 58 states to adopt laws that will protect 3.2 billion people from these harmful substances by the end of 2021.
At the same time, more than 100 countries should take the initiative to eliminate the use of trans fats in food preparation.
According to the WHO, countries with high per capita incomes are still trying to reduce the use of trans fats.
