From today, the selection of specialties for admission to higher education institutions begins. The selection of specialties will be conducted online until September 20.
According to the State Examination Center, entrants who have won the right to participate in the competition during this period are faced with the task to reconsider their choice of specialty, to clarify and confirm their choice.
The selection of specialties is carried out electronically through the official website of the Center, and technically this process is very simple. The software is set up in such a way that there is no possibility of making a mistake, and when you press the save button of the application, you are warned about the error and its essence.
In order to help applicants, the Ministry of Education and Science has published materials on "What to look for when choosing a specialty" for specialty groups I, II, III and IV. These booklets contain the conditions of the competition, planned places for specialty groups, distribution of exam results of entrants participating in the competition on points intervals, etc. the data are reflected. The 4th issue of the "Abituriyent" magazine published the procedure for filling out the "Applicant's electronic specialty selection application", specialties, planned places, and the 2nd issue of the magazine published the transition points formed in last year's student admission competition for different specialties.
Applicants from Western Caspian, Azerbaijan, Baku Business, Land of Fire, Cooperation, Eurasian Universities, who are established to assist applicants in choosing a specialty and operate on a free basis, can apply only by taking an online queue in advance.
Employees who have undergone special training in the "Counseling Centers" provide applicants with the rules of student admission, the procedure for filling and approval of the "Applicant's electronic specialty choice application", competition conditions, important issues to be considered when choosing a specialty, etc. provide free assistance on.
In accordance with the requirements of the pandemic conditions, the admission of applicants will be carried out on the basis of a pre-arranged online queue through the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in a limited number - a certain number per day. A maximum of 20 minutes will be allocated for one applicant. Only one person will be allowed to accompany the applicant.
The online queue will be available from September 9. Anyone can easily use the service by filling out the required information in the system (personal information, place of consultation, date and time) to queue online. A person can schedule only 1 meeting per day. Those wishing to change the time and place of the scheduled meeting can cancel the meeting and schedule a new meeting by entering the relevant information in the "I refuse to meet" section.
Individuals registered in the online queue must present their identity documents when approaching the building. The admission process will be organized in accordance with the guidelines for the prevention of coronavirus (COVID-19) infection. Appropriate conditions have been created in the centers for this purpose in accordance with the instructions. Necessary social distance will be ensured in the reception centers in the close interaction of citizens with each other and with employees (service staff, etc.). Applicants are not admitted without a medical mask.
