The quarantine regime is being tightened again in neighboring countries, is there a need for it in Azerbaijan? - EXPERT OPINION
"As long as the rules of social isolation are not followed in public transport, there will be no decrease in the statistics of virus infection."
The statement came from a medical expert, Professor Adil Geybulla, when asked if the quarantine regime could be tightened again in Azerbaijan, Qadin.Net reports.
According to the professor, some people do not follow the rules of quarantine:
"If the society itself obeys the law, we can see that the pandemic will end soon," he said. Both time and experience have shown this. A recurrence of the infection is inevitable.
The expert added that according to official data, the number of infections in Azerbaijan today is decreasing compared to previous months:
"It is clearer than the number of applicants. The number of applicants has been decreasing in recent days.
According to therapist Rasif Bagirov, the fluctuations of infection in Georgia, Iran and Turkey are due to the large population. In this case, it is difficult to fight the pandemic. In countries such as Turkey and Iran, the high incidence of infection cannot be considered abnormal. However, the increase in the number of infections in Georgia is not a good thing. Probably because it is a tourist country, it is connected with travel. ”
Bagirov attributed the decrease in the number of infections in Azerbaijan to the use of medical masks:
"The operational headquarters is calling for compliance with the rules. The society does not follow the quarantine rules very strongly. However, there is a decrease compared to previous months. The reason for the decrease is the use of medical masks.
Due to the deteriorating epidemiological situation in neighboring Georgia, the Georgian government has decided to impose a number of restrictions. Thus, with the detection of coronavirus infection in 45 people, a new anti-record was recorded in the number of daily infections. Thus, the holding of anniversaries, weddings, celebrations and other such mass events in Georgia will be banned from tomorrow.
The Turkish government is also enforcing the use of medical masks in all public places in the country as part of the fight against the coronavirus. A number of quarantine measures have been tightened in the country due to the growing number of infections.
Similarly, 127 people died of coronavirus (COVID-19) in Iran over the past day. In the past 24 hours, 2,313 people were infected with the coronavirus. Thus, the number of people infected with the virus in Iran has risen to 393,425.
