Clinical trials of the AZD-1222 coronavirus vaccine, developed jointly by the University of Oxford and AstraZeneca, have been suspended.
One volunteer reacted negatively to the vaccine, Gadin.Net reports citing publika.az.
A statement from the company said that the volunteer had an unknown disease. Therefore, testing for the vaccine has been suspended. The reasons for the situation are being investigated.
According to the World Health Organization, 176 different vaccines are currently being developed worldwide. 33 of them are already being tested on humans. The testing process of 9 vaccines is in its final stage.
It should be noted that AZD-1222 was considered one of the most promising vaccines due to its effectiveness and reliability.
