Researchers at the University of Oxford in the United States have shown that people infected with the coronavirus are more likely to develop immunity.
According to Qadin.Net, an article about this was published in the journal Nature Immunology.
The pathogen has been shown to produce T cells that promote the recovery of the immune system and provide protection against subsequent infections.
For this purpose, blood samples were analyzed from 14 patients with severe COVID-19 and 28 people with mild symptoms. It was found that survivors maintain T cell memory for two months after infection, regardless of the severity of the disease.
