Chairman of the Board of Directors of the State Examination Center (SEC) Maleyka Abbaszadeh commented on the proposal to soften the conditions of the competition.
At today's online press conference, the chairman of the Board of Directors of the State Examination Center, Maleyka Abbaszadeh, said in response to the ombudsman's appeal that the terms of the interview are not determined by the MFA:
"After discussing these conditions with the Ministry of Education, we offer them to the government. These rules have already been approved. The second issue is that there have been problems with the pandemic. Taking this into account, together with the Ministry of Education, we have submitted our proposals to the government, and certain changes have been made in a number of exams. Certain programs have been removed, and in the first stage of the exam, 50 percent of open questions have been replaced by closed questions.
Abbaszadeh said that this year the number of planned places has increased by about one percent. The increase in the number of places ordered by the state is higher:
"This increase is about eight percent," he said. At present, the issue of admitting additional contingents to the competition is not considered. This happens when there are a lot of planned places and a small number of applicants. This year is not like that, and there is enough competition for the competition.
The chairman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs did not agree with the opinion of some experts that the results of this year's admission are lower than last year.
It should be noted that some time ago, the ombudsman made a proposal to ease the conditions of the competition.
