Benefits for adopted children will be provided - PROJECT

In Azerbaijan, a monthly allowance is provided for an adopted child, including a child under the age of 18 with disabilities.
According to Gadin.Net, amendments are proposed to Articles 4, 5 and 7 of the Law on Social Benefits.

Statistics show that a small proportion of adoptions across the country are related to the adoption of children over 3 years of age. At the same time, the number of applications for adoption of children with disabilities is very low.

The document states that the absolute majority of children in institutions for children deprived of parental care are over 3 years old.

According to the project, the benefit for the adopted child will be given to the adoptive parent of a child aged 3-18 who has lost his or her parents or is deprived of parental care, as well as a child with disabilities aged 0-18.

According to the document, this applies to children who are less likely to apply for adoption.

In order to receive this benefit, a valid court decision on the adoption of a child must be submitted.

The absolute majority of children in institutions for children deprived of parental care are over 3 years old.

If the project is approved, these benefits will be assigned to the relevant persons from January 1, 2021.
