An Azerbaijani scientist living in Turkey has developed a vaccine against COVID-19.
Corresponding member of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences, professor of the Mediterranean University of Turkey Tarlan Mammadov presented his new invention, Qadin.Net reports quoting Baku TV. Under the guidance of the scientist, two studies of green plant vaccines against COVID-19 have yielded successful results in animals and are ready to be tested in humans.
About four months ago, Erlan Mammadov and a group of 20 people started vaccination against COVID-19.
"We believe that the vaccine samples we produce will be safe and effective against all mutations. We can now test COVID-19 vaccine samples on humans. The production and purification efficiency is high enough to trade antibodies," he said.
Mammadov added that the study was submitted to the Turkish Vaccination Scientific Committee in the form of a report and will be sent to the Ministry of Health in the near future.
The scientist's new invention is of great importance for the treatment of hereditary disease Hemophilia B, which is characterized by impaired coagulation of human blood. These and other important inventions have been approved as new international patents. It is planned to test and apply new innovative products in Azerbaijan.
