The statement came from Education Ministry spokesman Jasarat Valehov, Gadin.Net reports.
A spokesman for the ministry said that this year more than 650,000 students will join the teaching process in primary school:
"Up to 10 percent of students in Azerbaijan study in Russian. We are talking about about 1.6 million students. 90 percent of students study in the Azerbaijani language.
