Game of Thrones executive producers David Benioff and DB Weiss have announced that they will begin shooting a series for Netflix based on China's fantastic "Three Body Problems" trilogy.
The book, authored by Liu Qing, tells the story of mankind's first contact with an alien civilization.
The screenwriters called this book the most ambitious science fiction they have ever read:
"Everything starts with life on a small blue planet and ends in the far corners of the universe. We look forward to spending the next few years of our lives adapting this story to the screen. ”
Another screenwriter of the project is Alexander Wood.
