Is the price of public transport rising in the country? - DESCRIPTION

In recent days, the issue of transferring taxi services to single tariffs in the country is being discussed.
Thus, the opinion of the head of the Baku Transport Agency (BTA) Hikmet Babayev, "It is not right to turn taxis into everyday vehicles," caused a wide discussion. In addition to taxi services, public transport, including the subway, will increase fares.
It is claimed that the fare on public transport will be increased to 50 kopecks.
BNA spokesman Mais Agayev told Oxu.Az that the information about the increase in fares was not true:
The Tariff Council of the Republic of Azerbaijan is a collegial executive authority that regulates prices (tariffs) and service fees applied in the country. As the body exercising state control in the field of regular passenger transportation in Baku, the Baku Transport Agency has not appealed to the Tariff Council on this issue, and this issue is not on the agenda at the moment.
