A new express taxi service will be created in Baku.
The statement came from Hikmet Babayev, head of the legal department of the Baku Transport Agency (BTA), Qadin.Net reports quoting publika.az.
According to him, this issue is reflected in the new concept discussed at the initiative of the Agency:
"These taxis will run directly on the route. Once these taxis start operating, the operation of retail Birmanatlig taxis will be prevented. Express taxis will operate in a regulated manner for passengers.
H.Babayev said that currently "Birmanatlig" taxis operate in different directions, carrying passengers from one stop to another:
"Because these taxis are not regulated, they enter bus stops and create traffic jams at bus stops and roads. This causes legitimate dissatisfaction of passengers and drivers.
