"If people strictly follow the quarantine rules, the mitigation will expand further and we will slowly return to our previous lives."
The statement came from Jalal Isayev, chief infectious disease specialist, speaking about the easing of the quarantine regime, Gadin.Net reports. He said the easing would be applied in parts:
"The decision on whether to soften or harden is made by the Operational Staff under the Cabinet of Ministers. The staff analyzes the situation in the country, takes into account the dynamics of infection and makes a decision accordingly. At present, the number of infections and deaths in our country has decreased significantly. In this regard, I think that in the coming days the mitigation will be further expanded. It is not right to go for a complete easing, it can have serious consequences. At present, I consider the decisions of the Operations Headquarters correct and I think we will achieve more successful results in time. "
