Javid Gafarov, head of the Information Support and Analysis Sector of the Executive Power, told Oxu.Az that the information about the suspension of the "8th kilometer market" was unfounded:
Currently, there is an area called "8th kilometer shopping center". Agricultural products are sold in the market. It is possible that the sections selling clothes will be closed, but in all cases we do not know exactly. Even if such a thing happens, we do not make a decision. It is a private business entity and makes its own decisions. We have not received any complaints from small entrepreneurs working there about the closure of the market. If the market was closed, the relevant agencies would have issued an official statement.
