A live worm about 13 centimeters long was removed from the brain of a 23-year-old Chinese man.
The parasite lived on his head for 17 years, Gadin.Net reports citing publika.az.
The young Chinese have been suffering from wear and tear since the age of six. He sought medical help only after he lost consciousness in the upper right part of his body.
Doctors believe that the parasite enters the body as a result of eating raw exotic meat, such as frog or snake meat.
Earlier, it was reported that doctors removed a large tapeworm from the brain of an American who had suffered from headaches for ten years. A similar worm was found in his sister. It is possible that they became infected by eating badly fried pork.
