How do older people cope with the coronavirus? - RESEARCH

People prone to longevity are less susceptible to coronavirus-related risks.
The University of Edinburgh and Gero Biotechnology Company conducted a study on this, Gadin.Net reports citing publika.az. It has been reported that genetic mutations that cause longevity also lead to a lighter course of COVID-19.
According to the founder of Gero, Peter Fedichev, long-lived people (and their children) suffer less from chronic diseases than the average population. He believes that this genetic mechanism is likely to fight coronavirus and other dangerous infections.
Additional studies have confirmed that the risk of death from COVID-19 and even other serious diseases depends on a person's biological age. In this regard, in addition to prophylactic measures against seasonal infections and coronavirus, the use of anti-aging drugs is recommended.
