A tourist who violates quarantine twice in a row will have to pay a fine of half a million dollars

John Pennington, a resident of the US state of Kentucky, can be fined about $ 500,000 (850,000 manat) for two violations of quarantine rules in Canada.
According to Qadin.Net, this was reported by Travel and Leisure.
According to the report, Pennington visited the US mainland from Alaska in June. During the visit, he spent the night in one of the hotels in Banff National Park, Canada, where admission for US citizens is twice prohibited.
The hotel management informed the authorities about it.
Police arrived at the hotel and fined the US citizen $ 900 (1,530 manat).
Pennington was allowed to spend the night on the condition that he could not leave the hotel until he was given official permission.

However, the tourist from the United States did not follow the rules.

Law enforcement officers detained and arrested him while walking in Banff National Park.

Pennington faces a fine of about $ 500,000 (850,000 manat) or six months in prison.
