Eight countries have agreed to jointly develop the vaccine

The presidents and foreign ministers of South American countries exchanged views on obtaining a coronavirus vaccine during an online meeting on Thursday.
The statement came from Chilean Foreign Minister Andres Allamand.
During an online discussion attended by the presidents of Chile, Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Paraguay, Peru, Ecuador and Guana, it was stressed that it would be very useful to join efforts to obtain the vaccine.
At the meeting, the parties agreed to coordinate the process.
