About 113,000 students receive paid education. Payments of 15,309 of them are covered by the state. This means about 13 million manat.
The statement came from Education Minister Emin Amrullayev, Gadin.Net reports.
He said that the need criterion was taken into account at this point:
"Regardless of the pandemic, it is not possible to give benefits to all students. The financial sustainability of higher education institutions depends on student fees.
17,200 students studying on a paid basis are also paid by the state. In all cases, a number of concessions were made in connection with the pandemic.
The next steps depend on the direction in which the situation will continue in the future. It is unknown when the pandemic will end.
