President Ilham Aliyev has issued an order on conscription of citizens of the Republic of Azerbaijan to active military service and release of active military servicemen from October 1 to 30, 2020.
According to the order, he was born in 2002 and reached the age of 18 before the day of conscription (including that day), as well as born in 1985-2001, up to 35 years old, did not serve in the Armed Forces of the Republic of Azerbaijan. Citizens of the Republic of Azerbaijan who do not have the right to defer conscription or have not been released from conscription are called up for active military service from October 1 to 30, 2020.
From October 1 to October 30, 2020, military servicemen who have completed the term of service provided for in Article 38.1.1 of the Law of the Republic of Azerbaijan “On military service and military service” shall be released from the reserve.
The Cabinet of Ministers must take the measures provided for in the legislation to implement the order.
