"Unfortunately, illegal hunting of species listed in the Red Book is allowed."
The statement came from Hikmet Alizadeh, head of the State Environmental Security Service of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources, during a live broadcast on the ministry's Facebook page, Qadin.Net reports.
According to him, the amount of damage caused to nature due to illegal hunting is regulated by the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan in 2004 "Types, rates, rules of application and penalties for illegal hunting".
"Our current situation allows us to increase the amount of fines for damage to nature. A normative act has been prepared in this regard. However, since it covers several areas, its coordination takes time. A decision on this will be made soon. "
