Statement from the Ministry of Health on the salaries of medical workers

On Amendments to the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan No. 112 of March 25, 2020 "On Determining the Periodic Supplement to the Salaries of Medical Workers Participating in Measures to Combat New Types of Coronavirus (COVID-19)" According to the decision No. 202 of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, periodic supplements to the salaries of medical workers were paid in June.
The statement came from the Health Ministry in response to APA's inquiry, Gadin.Net reports.

It was noted that 948 medical workers at medical institutions subordinated to the Ministry of Health received 1.3 million manat in the amount of 5 times the single tariff (salary). "These medical workers were the staff of the Azerbaijan Medical University's Teaching Therapeutic and Teaching Surgery Clinics, Baku Health Center, the Republican Psychiatric Hospital caring for patients with a new type of coronavirus infection.

AZN 320,000 was paid to 187 medical workers of medical institutions subordinated to the Ministry of Health in the amount of 4 times the single tariff (position) salary. These employees were employees of the Center for Control of Special Dangerous Infections and its regional branches, as well as the Forensic Medical Expertise and Pathological Anatomy Association, which is engaged in laboratory testing of biological smears.

It was noted that 950,000 manat was paid to 1,100 employees of medical institutions under the Ministry of Health in the amount of 3 times the single tariff (position) salary. These employees were doctors, paramedics, as well as disinfectants and other employees of the Republican Center for Hygiene and Epidemiology, district and city hygiene and epidemiology centers, Baku Disinfection Center, Sanitary Quarantine Center.

Periodic bonuses were paid in proportion to the number of hours worked to combat the new coronavirus infection.
