The World Health Organization (WHO) and the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) have recommended the age at which anti-coronavirus medical masks should be used.
The information was posted on the WHO website, Qadin.Net reports citing publika.az.
It is noted that organizations advise not to require children under the age of 5 to wear masks in connection with the coronavirus pandemic.
"This is based on the safety and common interests of the child, as well as the ability to use the mask properly with minimal assistance," the statement said.
At the same time, both organizations recommend that several factors be considered for children ages 6-11. So, it is a question of his reliable and correct use of the mask, the level of spread of the virus in the place where he lives.
WHO and UNICEF recommend the use of masks for children over 12 years.
