The rules for importing goods into the country have been tightened

The Cabinet of Ministers amended the "Preferential and simplified Rules for the movement of goods across the customs border by individuals not intended for production or commercial purposes," approved by the decision of October 14, 2013.
According to Gadin.Net, Prime Minister Ali Asadov signed an order in this regard.
According to the order, goods imported into the customs territory of the country once a month, with a total customs value not exceeding $ 800, are exempt from customs duties. Until now, this condition applied to goods with a total customs value of no more than $ 1,500 (an additional $ 500 for each accompanying minor).
Also, no further customs duties will be levied on goods in the name of the same individual within 30 days through international mail or the carrier for a total customs value not exceeding the equivalent of $ 800. Until now, this amount was $ 1,000.

The order also states that persons who have served in diplomatic missions and consulates for at least 2 years, perform administrative and technical services of diplomatic service bodies, and military personnel guarding diplomatic missions and consulates in foreign countries and international organizations shall be appointed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the certified copies of the appointment and recall orders of the employee sent abroad by the state body in charge of protection of diplomatic missions and consulates operating in foreign countries and international organizations, as well as the total customs value of funds and property acquired during their work abroad On payment of the cost of one vehicle (vehicle cost not exceeding the equivalent of $ 40,000 and the engine capacity not exceeding 3,000 cubic centimeters) No customs duties shall be levied on the importation of a vehicle into the customs territory within one year (with the submission of a document on the obligation of the owner of the vehicle not to dispose of it, except for the right to drive a vehicle). So far, there is no limit on these issues.
