In Germany, as part of the fight against COVID-19, data from 10,000 patients were analyzed, and the death rate at the hospital was set at 22 percent.
The statement came from Farrukh Sadirov, an infectious disease specialist at the Central Oilmen's Hospital, Gadin.Net reports.
He said that the death rate by age group has not remained stable and varies:
"Thus, the death rate over the age of 80 was 78 percent, between the ages of 70 and 80 - 27 percent, between the ages of 60 and 70 - 15 percent, and under the age of 60 - 5 percent.
The death rate at the Central Oilmen's Hospital is currently estimated at 12 percent. In general, the percentage of deaths from COVID in Azerbaijan varies between 1.5-1.6.
Sadirov added that this figure is very low compared to countries such as Italy, China and England:
"This is due to preventive measures taken at a time when the number of deaths registered in Azerbaijan today is lower than in other countries."
