According to the Federal Service for Consumer Protection and Human Welfare Control (Rospotrebnadzor) of the Russian Federation, the Vector Scientific Center will submit the second vaccine against COVID-19 to the relevant authorities for registration in October.
The second phase of clinical trials will be completed in September, Komsomolskaya Pravda reports.
Only after receiving the test results, it will be possible to submit the documents to the relevant authorities for registration.
Currently, 86 people are involved in the study. They are divided into two groups.
The first group of 43 people was vaccinated with EpiVakCorona, and the second 43 volunteers received a placebo.
The volunteers were hospitalized for 23 days. They are said to be feeling well.
