Experts believe that in the context of the coronavirus pandemic in Azerbaijan, a mixed education model should be applied in the new school year.
The statement came from chairman of the Public Council under the Ministry of Education Shahlar Asgarov and member of the council Elmina Kazimzade.
According to Askerov, a mixed model combining traditional and distance education should be used.
"Students returning to school will not be able to avoid contact, they are less likely to maintain social distance, which will lead to an increase in the number of infections. I think that children should go to school only on certain days of the week, "he said.
E.Kazimzadeh also said that students in grades 5-11 can get an education using a mixed learning model, but stressed that it is difficult to talk about lower grade students. According to him, a different method should be applied in this situation.
"The main thing here is to support students. We must try to ensure that children do not lose interest in school and maintain their love for lessons, "he added.
