"Smart gloves" will be made for the visually impaired in Turkey.
With the project launched at Izmir University of Economics, visually impaired people will be able to choose clothes in any color and style, Qadin.Net reports quoting Democrat.
According to the university, these gloves are expected to help the visually impaired in many matters related to fashion.
The camera will be placed on the glove, which aims to be made of lightweight, antibacterial and washable fabric. A program that identifies information on thousands of clothing types and colors will be created and recorded in the electronic section of the glove.
When a visually impaired user touches a garment with "smart gloves", the camera will take a picture of the garment, sounding its color and pattern. At the same time, it will list the proposals on which models will match the chosen outfit. The electronic part of the glove is easily removed and can be reused after washing.
